Kyle Kyungsik Choi



Kyle Choi represents domestic and foreign clients in cross-border commercial disputes, debt-recovery, bankruptcy, and other business matters. A large part of his practice is focused on advising Korean clients on their activities in the U.S. with a focus on commercial debt recovery, international dispute resolution, litigation, creditors’ rights and other business advisory related matters.

As Mr. Choi’s experience with international legal and business matters has expanded since joining the firm, he has presented around the world on global commercial legal matters – including appearing before leading export credit agencies, the Korean Chamber of Commerce in New York, the Korea International Trade Association, the National Association of Credit Management, the Finance, Credit and International Business Association, in addition to a lecture at Incheon University (Korea) in 2012 on international commercial dispute resolution.

Mr. Choi’s previous experience in international and legal matters include an internship at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland where he assisted drafting an article on WHO’s perspective on tobacco control, as well as at the International Justice Missions, a non-profit human rights organization, where he assisted foreign lawyers with litigation strategies by providing information about the United States legal system.

Prior to joining Bluestone Law International, Mr. Choi worked as a liaison officer in the Korea Defense Intelligence Command and served in Iraq as a member of the joint forces for the Iraqi Freedom Operation.

Mr. Choi earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland in 2009 where he focused his studies on international law. In 2010 he completed his LL.M. degree in international and comparative law at the George Washington University Law School. Mr. Choi received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2006, graduating with General Honors. Mr. Choi is fluent in Korean.
