Gabe Bluestone Discusses Discovery and Evidentiary Issues at Asset Recovery America Conference

On September 19th, Shareholder Gabe Bluestone presented on a panel at KNect’s Asset Recovery America conference in New York. The panel, “Liar, liar –
the courts’ approach to evidence in civil, US and common law systems,” discussed and debated witness evidence in four international jurisdictions, including how it is prepared, given and tested, how the Courts evaluate it, and how lawyers working internationally can get the best out of each jurisdiction. The panel included leading litigators from England (Mary Young, Kingsley Napley), Switzerland (Matthias Gstoehl, La Live), and Brazil (Julian Chediak, Chediak Advogados), and was moderated by Ros Prince of Stephenson Harwood. Gabe used his background in litigating complex, cross-border cases involving fraud, misconduct and asset concealment to discuss discovery tools and techniques for asset recovery that can be deployed in the US.
